What: Project Yoga MOV FUNdraiser
Where: Yoga At The Point Park 113 Ann Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia 26101

Detail: Join Yoga At The Point Park for an amazing yoga practice for only $5 while helping Project Yoga MOV raise money for their local yoga projects!Project Yoga MOV is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of yoga to under-served and at-risk communities. We teach techniques to help reduce stress levels, increase flexibility (in body and mind), and improve their emotional outlook through yoga, mindful breathing and meditation. We are currently working with Parkersburg Correctional Center, St. Marys Correctional Center, Mid Ohio Valley Fellowship Home, Wood County Senior Center, and the VET Center. All proceeds from Yoga At The Point Park on August 29th will go to Project Yoga MOV. We will also be collecting new and/or gently used yoga mats and props, as well as cash donations.

Detail: Join our local food trucks that are members of MACC for Food Truck Friday! Our participants this month include: Busy Bee Restaurant LLC, Kona Ice of the Mid-Ohio Valley, Smokin Pigs Ash BBQ & The Sweet Stop! They will have food & sweets from 11am-2pm (unless they run out before 2) at the J.D. parking lot at the corner of 2nd & Greene Streets in Marietta, Ohio!

What: Front Street Ghost Trek
Where: Hidden Marietta Tour Co. 424 George Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750
When: Every Friday at 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM until October
Detail: Our Original Front Street Ghost Trek will still run as well! Discover the early history of the town, hear stories of vice, accidental deaths and spirits. Details: The total distance covered is a little over one mile. Handicap accessible. Although the entire course of our Ghost Trek tours are over paved or brick streets, comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. No tours will run Sept 7-9 due to Sternwheel Festival.

Detail: GENERATION POUND is coming to Marietta! This class is perfect for rockstars ages 6-12. This is a FREE demo class! GENERATION POUND is a youth-oriented program that fuses movement and music to improve physical fitness, focus, communication, teamwork, coordination, athletic skills and more! Using Ripstix, lightly weighted exercise drumsticks, kids will learn alternative ways to explore movement, embrace their creativity and ROCK OUT- ultimately building strength, confidence and self-awareness.

What: Walk with a Doc
Where: Wayne Street Medical Campus Wayne St, Marietta, Ohio 45750
When: Every Saturday until Sept. 1st from 8-9 AM
Detail: Lace up your sneakers and join us every Saturday for Walk with a Doc.This is a free provider-led walk that will begins with a 3-5 minute educational conversation. The walk starts on our Wayne Street Medical Campus (pediatric building, 310 East 8th Street in Marietta) will follow the Marietta River Trail for one hour, but participants do not need to walk for the full hour, and may walk at their own pace and distance. Detail: We will be having a spaghetti dinner for Jillian’s family. There will be a 50/50 raffle, country store, silent auction, and possibly a live auction. Dinner will be served from 4pm-7pm. What: Youth League Sign Up/ Info Day
Where: North Hills Lanes 318 Colegate Dr, Marietta, Ohio 45750
When: Saturday, September 1 at 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Detail: Come on down to North Hills Lanes to get your kiddo signed up for a youth league! League runs from 9/15-12/29, will be for ages 5-16, and cost is $10/ week with discounts for multiple kids from the same family. Kids will bowl 3 games every Saturday at 9:30, and shoe rental is included in weekly fees. Sign up fees are $5, or $15 if you’d like to purchase a t-shirt. Kids who sign up in person for the youth league on August 25th will get a free game of bowling and free shoes that day, and parents can get a little more info or ask any questions. Info on schedules, rules, etc will be available on Saturday the 25th. If you are unable to attend, feel free to reach out with questions or to sign up. You can also call/ text 740-525-9333

What:Epilepsy Awareness Motorcycle Ride

Detail: Meet at armory 241 Front St. In Marietta, OH at 10:00am. T-shirts will be handed out prior to ride. Ride will start at noon. An escort will lead everyone out of town. The ride will end at the VFW Post 5108 at 319 Pike St. Marietta, OH. Food and drinks will be provided. There will also be raffles and a 50/50 at the end of the ride.
