What: Ohio Pioneers – after hours tour

Detail: An after-hours curator led tour of an exhibit of manuscripts, rare books, and artwork consulted by David McCullough for his book, “The Pioneers.”   We’ve also arranged a viewing of an 1882 map of Williamstown that is part of the Library’s collection and I haven’t seen anywhere else.  All welcome. What: Archaeology Camp 
When: Monday at 9 AM – 11 AM
Where: The Castle – Marietta, Oh 418 4th St, Marietta, Ohio 45750
Detail: The Castle’s Archaeology Camp is for students entering grades 6th-8th. Campers will experience a real archaeological dig on the site of one of the oldest pottery manufacturing sites in Ohio, learn how archaeologists sort and sift for objects, and examine and identify artifacts! Leading this camp will be professional archaeologist Wes Clarke.  Campers: 6th – 8th Grade  Space is limited. Pre-registration required by July 5th.  $50 per Individual

What: Kids’ Chef Camp (Ages 10-12) 
When: Monday at 9 AM – 12 PM
Where: The Changed Plate 803 Farson Street, Belpre, Ohio 45714
Detail: Join the staff of The Changed Plate for a weeklong Kids’ Chef Camp! Each day, the young chefs will learn to cook a new course. What: The Incredible Race Bible School

Detail:Make your very own 12” x 19.5” x 3/4” thick cutting board while learning the machines and the basics of the woodshop. Our content expert, Brent Smith will walk you through the process of taking rough sawn lumber and turning it into a large cutting board similar to the one shown above during this 2 day class. Choose your strips of wood for the main board from Cherry, Maple, Oak or Walnut. Join us for this great class to learn about the many possibilities in the woodshop, or meet some other serious woodworkers and leave with a high quality cutting board that you created! What: Chronic Pain Workshop – Evening Classes
When: Every Tuesday until April 23 at 5:30 PM – 7 PM

Detail: The Living Well with Pain research study is a free, six-week program where you learn how to cope with the physical, mental and emotional aspects of pain. You will meet once a week for six weeks. Each session is 2.5 hours long.

What: Go Mama! Stroller Workouts
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday in April at 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM
Where: Marietta, Ohio
Detail: Go Mama! Stroller Workouts are 45 minute outdoor, stroller classes designed for all fitness levels for Moms, Dads and caregivers combining body weight exercises and cardiovascular activity.   Put the baby in the stroller, pack up your yoga mat and come to class! We will meet at the fountain next to the Lafayette Hotel every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30am. If weather isn’t ideal for an outdoor workout, we will have class at Marietta Dance Academy (watch the page for updates).   Class is $5 per person or $20 for a punch card with 5 classes

Detail: On July 17th, join the Carnegie Science Center for SolarQuest, at the Belpre Fire Department Bingo Hall at 4:00 p.m.! Detail: Lace up your sneakers and join us every Saturday for Walk with a Doc.This is a free provider-led walk that will begins with a 3-5 minute educational conversation. The walk starts on our Wayne Street Medical Campus (pediatric building, 310 East 8th Street in Marietta) will follow the Marietta River Trail for one hour, but participants do not need to walk for the full hour, and may walk at their own pace and distance. Detail: We’re partnering with our Friends from West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union, Artsbridge, Kona Ice of the Mid-Ohio Valley, Actors Guild of Parkersburg and the City of Parkersburg – Government to throw an awesome pool party…and you’re invited. Help us Stuff the Bus and gather school supplies for area teachers and students. The First 75 People to donate supplies will receive free admission into the pool! Everyone who donates will receive a free cone from Kona Ice!   Our friends from Artsbridge and the Actors Guild will have fun activities for the kids too.   Here are the items needed most by area teachers: Child Scissors, Markers, Crayons, Color Pencils, Folders, Notebooks, Glue Sticks, Dry Erase Markers, Clorox Wipes, Tissues, Gallon Hand Sanitizer, Glue Sticks, Child Scissors, Primary Crayons, Primary Pencils, Craft Items or monetary donations to buy these supplies! Detail: Join us as we sew these bags for the Gospel Mission Food Pantry. We have lots of fabric and need your help with this project! Can’t sew??? That’s ok!!! We have lots of non-sewing jobs….ironing, cutting, folding, piecing. Our goal is to make as many bags as possible. Bring a friend or two or three! We will have fun and help out our community at the same time! Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 20, from 11:30am-2:30pm. See you there! Supplies: All materials are provided, but please bring items to donate to the Gospel Mission. You can bring your own sewing machine to help turn out bags, or you can use ours.
