Detail: We invite you to join us for our second annual Christmas tree auction to benefit the Hippodrome/Colony Historical Theatre Association. What: Cookies with Santa

Detail: Monday, November 25, at 6:30 p.m.  Hosted by the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, “Cookies with Santa” is a magical evening for all! Leaving cookies out for Santa is a timeless tradition, so wear your favorite pajamas and enjoy Santa’s favorite snack with the big guy himself!   Admission includes cookies, fruit, hot cocoa, and a surprise from Santa! (Photo opportunities will also be available.)   $13 per person (all ages) Pajamas Welcome!  Tickets can be purchased at The Blennerhassett Coffee Bar located in the lobby. All proceeds from tickets sales benefit the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center.

What: Artist Trees Exhibit Opening

Detail: ARTIST TREES: NOVEMBER 30-DECEMBER 21 Opening: Saturday, November 30, 10:00 a.m-5:00 p.m.  The Parkersburg Art Center’s Annual Artist Tree Display will kick off during our Holiday Open House/Artist Market on Shop Small Saturday.  Ever wonder how Klee, Calder, or Picasso would have decorated their Christmas Tree?  We did!  Local artists and school groups come together each year to image what this classic holiday decor would have looked like in the hands of famous and not so famous artists. This is a community celebration of art and creativity.  Bring some change and vote for your favorites!  Our 2019 Artist Trees are made possible by our friends at Family Carpet One and will be on display until December 21

What: Festival of Trees
When: Nov. 19 – Dec. 4, 2019 at 7 AM – 10 PM

Detail: The Blennerhassett Hotel is proud to host EasterSeals Festival of Trees again this year, as this tradition is a festive way to celebrate the holiday season in the Mid-Ohio Valley area. Decorators put their heart and soul into decorating over 20 trees and wreaths for all to see. They will be on display from Tuesday, November 19 through Wednesday, December 4.   No admission is charged for viewing the trees.   Auction Event December 4, 2019  /  6:00 pm  The Festival of Trees Auction Event is a great way for guests to contribute to Easter Seals. Guests are able to bid on numerous donated items in the silent auction. Later, during the live auction, guests are able to view and bid on their favorite holiday items. Proceeds benefit Easter Seals West Virginia Uncompensated Care Program, which allows children who are uninsured, or underinsured, to receive treatment regardless of an inability to pay.   Silent Auction and Cash Bar begin at 6:00 pm Live Auction begins at 7:00 pm  $35 per Person Tickets are available at the door or in advance. Detail: On Tuesdays during the month of November, the Riviera is offering a Five Course Harvest Feast. Dinner will begin at 6:30pm each Tuesday and include an appetizer, salad, soup, entrée with one side and dessert. Each meal will be filled with special dishes and each week will be different. Watch our Facebook page or our website as we publish details for each menu. There is limited seating for the Harvest Feast and reservations are required. The restaurant will still be open for regular dinner hours with our dinner menu available each night. Reservations can be made by calling 740.373.7862, ext 1.

Detail: The Lowell Ohio Chapter will be riding in the Marietta Christmas Parade.   🐎 members please wear a Red sweatshirt or coat, green scarf, dark blue jean, black hat (black earmuffs optional) and black Cowboy hat or helmet.   🐎 This is a night parade so find some fun, lighted decorations for your horse and self if you’d like.  🐎 bring a thermos of something warm to drink.  🐎 line up typically starts 1 hour before parade time, so make sure to arrive in plenty of time to decorate your self and horse before line up.   staging area location will be posted soon.

Detail: Our annual evening holiday parade will include floats, dance routines, carolers, and much more, all complete with festive Christmas lights. As usual, Santa Claus will make his appearance in the parade at the very end!  Thanks to the support of WMOA, the Merry-etta Christmas Parade will be live on-air for all to enjoy via 1490 AM and 101.3 FM.  Each float will have the opportunity to submit an ad to be read live on-air during the parade so make sure to tune in and listen live!  Interested in hosting a float in our parade? Detail: Our Polar Express pajama matinee has quickly become a Marietta family tradition! Come aboard the Polar Express, a magical train heading to the North Pole. Tom Hanks stars as the conductor—as well as five other roles! This beloved movie is based on the award-winning storybook written by Chris Van Allsburg, this Christmas story tells of a boy who has reached an age when his belief in Santa is beginning to falter.  The young and young-at-heart are encouraged to come dressed in Christmas pajamas and enjoy the show. Santa will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes, and true to the Polar Express experience, hot chocolate and cookies will be available, too.  Santa will be available from 4pm to 6pm.
