Detail: All proceeds will be donated to charity, according to Casino Night Committee chairperson Rob Doyle. The first $10,000 raised will be donated to Strecker Cancer Center. The remaining proceeds will be added to Belpre Rotary Club funds which are donated to local, regional and international charities, Doyle said.             Doors open at 6:30 pm, with Casino Tournament 7:30-9:30 pm. Cost is $65 per ticket. Half the ticket cost is a tax-deductible charitable donation. A limited number of tickets will be sold and will be available at the door.          The evening will result in attendees accumulating chips which will be converted into prize raffle tickets. Chip redemption will begin at 9:20 pm, with prize drawings beginning at 10 pm. Attendees must be present to win.           Prize raffle tickets are placed by the attendee into any one of the prize bags corresponding to that prize, which can be cash or a physical prize, including a television, gift cards and a cheerbasket. Attendees are eligible to win only one prize.    Food will be served until 10 pm, which includes heavy hor d’oeuvres catered by Belair’s Bistro and Catering of Belpre. Last call for drinks will be 10:30 pm. An open bar bracelet is $20, with individual drink tickets available for        The initial ticket purchase entitles the attendee to three raffle tickets and one “chip card” for 10,000 in chips. Chips have no cash value.             Three chip denominations will be available: 1,000, 5,000, and 25,000. Attendees can re-buy chips throughout the evening.          Games available for play include craps, double roulette, poker and blackjack. All games will have a minimum bet of 1,000 in chips.

What: Fall Craft & Vendor Fair/Quarter Auction

Detail: Kingdom Creations is hosting our Fall craft and vendor Fair/Quarter Auction on October 19th from 9 am to 4 pm to raise funds for families in need during the holiday season. Table spaces are being rented 1 for $15 or 2 for $25. The event will start at 9 am and go until 6 pm. Between 2 pm and 4 pm there will be a Quarter Auction. Vendors that plan on participating in the Quarter Auction will need to pay an extra $10 on top of the table space fee for the Vendor Show. Vendors please bring at least 2 items to auction off for yourselves and 1 for the outreach to auction off. In addition to the donation item we ask for another item for our Country Store. All vendors setup for the Quarter Auction will receive 1 free paddle for the auction and all vendors setting up will receive one free door prize ticket. Payment reserves space so if we don’t receive payment within a week of reserving space we will move to next in line as we do not require contracts. What: Island After Dark: An Overnight Ghost Hunt

Detail:  Join us on October 19 for the debut of our brand new investigation location: Blennerhassett Island & mansion! ​ A lonely place that knew much tragedy, the island will be yours for the evening to investigate and uncover what spirits may still walk in the shadows.    The island will be open to investigation the entire night, while the mansion will investigated in small groups during a set time.  ​ We will be ‘locked down’ on the island (300 acres!) all night, so you will need to bring a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, and any ghost hunting equipment you like. Please bring a flashlight. Dinner and breakfast will be provided in your ticket price. Restrooms are available all night. ​ Itinerary 4:00pm: Meet at the Parkersburg Point Park 4:30pm: Welcome on the island, split into 4 groups. 5pm: Groups 1 and 2 tour the mansion, Groups 3 and 4 set up camp. 6pm switch and Groups 1 and 2 tour the mansion while Groups 3 and 4 set up camp. 7pm: Dinner (hot dogs, chips and s’mores available) 8pm: Start of Ghost Hunt 8:30pm-10pm: Group 1 investigate mansion 10pm-11:30pm: Group 2 investigate mansion 11:30-1am: Group 3 investigate mansion 1am-2:30am: Group 4 investigate mansion ​ All groups can investigate the island and grounds. Quiet time will commence at 3am, investigators are invited to continue ghost hunting or sleep as they wish. Breakfast will be served at 9am (donuts and fruit). Break down camp at 10am, leave on the first boat back to the island at 11:30am.   $129 per person, includes 19 hour overnight investigation, mansion ghost tour, boat fee to and from the island, dinner and breakfast  (Ages 14+. In celebration of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, we’ll be hosting an Adopt-A-Thon on Saturday, October 19th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Stop by our Chevrolet showroom to meet local shelter dogs. Volunteers will be on hand to help these pups find their forever homes. Be sure to test drive a new Chevrolet or Mitsubishi that weekend too. We’ll donate $5 for every test drive to the HSOP. Stay tuned for more details and an official donation list.

Detail:  The Washington Lions Club will have an all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast at the Washington Bottom Community Building on Saturday October 19th. The proceeds will go to the PSHS Southern Belles. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door. Call for more information.

Detail: Join us for our very first Costume Saturday as we help the community prepare for Halloween. Our spaces will be open every Saturday to assist our members with costume creation. Get guidance from the Makerspace staff and use our equipment to help you create the costume you need, or want, this Halloween. Looking for a cape, cloak, mask or piece of clothing, use our fiber arts space. Looking for a magic wand or potion bottles from your favorite witches and wizards or props from your favorite video game characters, check our our creative arts space. Our 3D printers and/or laser space are also available to help you create that final prop to complete your costume. Our staff will be on hand to help you create what you need to complete your best costume. You can choose to become an hourly punch card member, or an individual member to take advantage of this great event. Detail:  The Fall Visit Day is a great way for students and their families to get to know WSCC. Regardless of how much experience your family has with the college search process, the visit day is meant to provide a comprehensive overview of Washington State as well as the financial aid and enrollment process.

What: The Our Lady of Mercy CWC Craft Show

Detail: The Our Lady of Mercy CWC Craft Show will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Continuing with past tradition, we will be serving our famous chicken pie and equally famous homemade noodles and dessert pies. Many local vendors will have their unique crafts on display for purchase. Please preorder whole chicken pies and or homemade noodles by Monday, November 4th by contacting Marilyn Peters at 740-350-1751 or Heather Peters at 740-350-6972. The location of the event will be at Our Lady of Mercy church hall on County Road 60, one mile west of Lowell, Ohio (5001 Lowell Hill Road). A limited amount of vendor spaces are available.
